MEET THE INSTRUCTOR

Aida Lizalde took her first ceramic class in a small Community College in California a decade ago and ditched the paintbrush ever since for an interdisciplinary art practice grounded in ceramics, textiles, food, and other media.

Aida has a BA in Studio Arts and a Minor in Art History from UC Davis and is a current candidate for the Masters of Fine Arts in Sculpture and Expanded Media at Virginia Commonwealth University. Her practice seeks to expand on the meaning of her Mexican culture and heritage and find a balance between object making, community, and personal growth.
